OVERVIEW:
Droid resident artists David Flores (Audio Injection/Truncate) and Vangelis + Vidal Vargas (RaÃz) combine their production elements on the Degrees of Motion EP. David has been burning up the industry charts with his latest raw vibe alias Truncate. The spring/summer season in Europe would have been quite silent had it not been for the phrases CONCENTRATE and FOCUS. With releases and remixes on Enemy, Modularz and his own Truncate imprint, David has enjoyed strong support from renowned acts Dettmann, Klock, Luke Slater, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1 and countless others. The members of RaÃz, Vangelis and Vidal Vargas, have also been making waves with their work on Historia Y Violencia, Silent Steps, Gynoid, and Droid. On this collaboration David and the Vargas brothers combine the dry and groovy tool perfection of Truncate with the concept and sense of depth RaÃz has been developing over the last year. The result is a series of 3 flawless tracks exemplifying the Degrees of Motion. Inertia builds the EP with heavy drum programming and warm pad work. Flux takes the energy up a notch with hard swing percussion, sharp analog noise and arctic synthesis. Jude Law leaves his seed. Rhythm completes the cycle with a deeply grounded pulse, accented by an enigmatic call to consciousness and presence. Degrees of Motion is a solid showcase of this production team’s potential.
